Rather, we need to get to know the Bible like a friend. We also learn how the texts that comprise our Bible were selected and how they’ve been accurately preserved. We also discover how close in time they were written to actual events and that Scripture wasn’t written from a place of power or to manipulate. We find that Scripture is both solid and soft.

Pastor Aaron Buer discusses the violence in the Old Testament. Through this conversation, we see that the God of the Old Testament is the God of the New Testament, both gracious and just. We are challenged extend the grace of God to the people around us, while also trusting in God’s justice.
