Nanny / Childcare - Seasonal/Temporary

SCHOOL INFORMATION

NorthPointe Christian Schools is an independent Christian school formed in 1972 serving over 1,200 preschool through high school students from over 120 churches. NPC pairs academic excellence with a strong, Christ-centered environment to reach our mission of “equipping students to impact their world for Jesus Christ.” 

HIGHLIGHTS

  • This opening is in our Summer Colt Care program.
  • Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Colt Care offers supervised care to children between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Children enjoy field trips, games, planned activities, and outdoor play. 
  • Opportunities may be available in the Fall for more hours. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 19 years old or older
  • Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting. 
  • TB test required.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Be able to integrate Biblical principles into their daily activities as well as model those in their daily lives.
  • Active Christian in agreement with and willing to sign the NorthPointe Christian School’s Foundational statements.

REQUIREMENTS

Lead teachers must meet 1 of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or child development.
  • Montessori credentials and 480 hours of experience. 
  • Associate degree or higher in early childhood education.
  • Valid child development associate credential and 480 hours of experience.
  • High School diploma or GED with 12 semester hours in early childhood education or child development and 960 hours of experience.
  • High School diploma or GED with 12 semester hours, 18 CEUs, or a combination to equal 180 clock hours with 1,920 hours of experience.   
  • High School diploma or GED with 6 semester hours, 9 CEUs, or a combination to equal 90 clock hours with 3,840 hours of experience.

  • Physically able to:
    • Frequently stand and sit for extended periods.
    • Frequently use manual dexterity and/or mobility to grasp and/or manipulate objects.
    • Engage with students while kneeling, squatting, stooping, or bending 50-70 degrees at the waist.
    • Exert up to 25 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
    • Perform daily repetitive movement of fingers and hands when writing and typing.
    • Read printed and electronic material. See with clarity objects using close, distant, and peripheral vision.
    • Sufficiently hear conversations in person and distinguish sounds clearly up to 20 feet.
  • Must be able to maintain the continuous safety of the students and respond quickly and appropriately to any threat to their well-being.
