Overview: ReNew Upscale Thrift exists to financially support NorthPointe Christian Schools. This full-time, exempt, position reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing the general operations and ensuring the success of the store. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Creating a positive image of the thrift store and championing its purpose in supporting NorthPointe Christian Schools to the community • Utilizing and analyzing sales reports to evaluate performance • Determining how to price merchandise, including running sales as needed • Promoting the store on social media • Setting and monitoring sales goals • Making the store and displays attractive to shoppers • Overseeing cash handling procedures, including running the register and reconciling reports. • Setting standards for loss prevention • Coordinating, scheduling, and managing furniture donation deliveries and pickups • Recruiting and managing staff and volunteers, including onboarding, scheduling, training, assigning duties, and creating a positive work environment. • Developing operational procedures for receiving donations and displaying merchandise • Managing the facilities and contracting with vendors as needed to maintain a safe and clean environment inside the store and on the premises. The successful candidate will: • Have genuine enthusiasm for the success of NorthPointe Christian Schools and an ability to communicate that enthusiasm to the community • Have good physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds. • Have experience in a retail environment • Have experience managing a team • Be a resourceful self-starter with an ability to follow through on a wide range of projects. • Be reliable and enjoy a fast-paced work environment • Have the ability to cultivate warm relationships To apply, please email a cover letter and resume to Jeff Keessen at email@example.com.
