Accounting / Finance - Intern

The Opportunity
The Legal Services Intern will support our dynamic Legal Services team by performing legal research and completing administrative functions. This internship offers a unique chance for an undergraduate student to gain valuable firsthand experience in the world of family office legal affairs and related businesses.

This is a short-term position targeted at college undergraduates who are interested in gaining experience in legal services and considering post-graduate studies in law.

Location and Hours
This position will be located downtown Grand Rapids, MI. We are looking for a candidate who can work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the summer months (May – August).

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare document templates.
  • Filing and organizational work.
  • Proofreading.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of court documents.
  • Supporting our Legal Services team with legal research and other administrative tasks as assigned.


What You’ll Bring

  • A willingness to learn.
  • A desire to apply skills to assigned tasks.
  • Exposure to legal research systems and tools is a plus.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive, highly confidential information.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Proven flexibility, initiative, and self-reliance.
  • Follow firm guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree; juniors and seniors preferred.
