Background

ACME Marine Group is a vertically integrated manufacturer of propellers to the ski, wake, sportfish, and yachting markets. Our innovative manufacturing process has redefined the boating industry’s expectation of quality and performance. Today our propellers are found on the most demanding OEMs including Nautique, Malibu, Mastercraft, Tige, Supra, Viking, and Henrique Yachts.

As we continue to leverage new manufacturing technologies and invest in our premium brand, ACME is seeking an Inventory Accountant who will be responsible for all inventory accounting functions, including developing analysis reports and supporting the Controller and Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain accurate inventory counts and accounting records, including reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger

+ Enter inventory production orders

+ Correlate incoming casings, daily casting counts, and casting shipping reports from foundry operations

+ Lead cycle count activity at operations

+ Lead quarterly physical inventory counts at operations, per accounting standards

+ Facilitate inventory investigation upon any shipping error notification

+ Establish root cause and corrective measures to inventory variances

+ Identify slow moving inventory

+ Prepare regular inventory reports and periodic accounting reports, ensuring accuracy

+ Maintain stock of components and packaging materials, ordering when necessary

+ Back up shipping manager, as required, including assisting with fulfillment and related entries and paperwork

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher

+ 2-3 years’ experience in accounting support

+ Computer aptitude, including proficiency in data entry, inventory management systems, Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Some travel to manufacturing facility/inventory warehouse, as necessary for the first 6 months
