Senior Pastor Jeff Manion discusses God’s instruction to Abram to move and his promise of blessing. Abram doesn’t know God at the beginning of the journey and yet he obeys. His obedience ripples out through the pages of our Bible. We see that God asks us to move in unique ways in our life. We may never even know the ripples our obedience causes, but we are part of something bigger. Genesis 12:1-9

Through this conversation, we see that it is crucial for us to trust God both in the desert and when things are going well. Through this story, we see that our relationship with God is not dependent upon earning or deserving his favor, but upon the work of Jesus on the cross. God’s covenant with Abram foreshadows the work of Jesus on the cross. Genesis 15.
Teaching Pastor Aaron Buer discusses the shortcut Sarai and Abram take by seeking God’s promise through Hagar. Through this story, we see that shortcuts to God’s plan, even culturally acceptable ones, typically lead to significant problems. In the midst of the consequences, God sees and is concerned with those who our culture may deem unimportant. Genesis 16
Guest Speaker John Dickson tackles a tough passage from the Bible-Abraham’s test with Isaac. Through this story, we see that God is the one who provides. He provides a sacrifice for Abraham and Isaac on the mountain and he provides himself as a sacrifice for us in Jesus. Genesis 22:1-14
