Sermon Series: Learning to Trust: The Story of Abraham
Teacher Pastor Aaron Buer discusses God’s covenant with Abram. Using an ancient near eastern ritual, God seals his relationship with Abram. Through this story, we see that our relationship with God is not dependent upon earning or deserving his favor, but upon the work of Jesus on the cross. God’s covenant with Abram foreshadows the work of Jesus on the cross.

Guest Speaker John Dickson tackles a tough passage from the Bible-Abraham’s test with Isaac. Through this story, we see that God is the one who provides. He provides a sacrifice for Abraham and Isaac on the mountain and he provides himself as a sacrifice for us in Jesus. Genesis 22:1-14
