The Wedding and the Thief July 18/19, 2026

Guest Pastor Ricky Jenkins explores Jesus's parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15, revealing the Father's heart toward wayward hearts. We discover that God's compassion runs to meet us before we even finish our confession, showing that his love is never earned by good behavior or lost through failure. We learn that even though we often turn from the Father’s love like the sons in this story, we are encouraged to confess our sin honestly, and receive the Father's grace that welcomes every wandering heart home.
35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning,36like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him.37It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.38It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak.39But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.40You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

Giving Tables | Fill The Bus
July 11-26
Let’s help students in our community start the school year ready to learn.
Each July, Giving Tables focus on gathering school supplies for local schools we partner with through Kids Hope. These donations help meet practical needs and show care to students, teachers, and Kids Hope mentors.
Following Jesus
This is the foundation—a commitment to lifelong trust and surrender. It's not just a one-time decision. It's a daily posture of saying, "Jesus, I'm yours, and I'm following you." Galatians 2:20 captures it beautifully: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."
What will your next step be?
Growing Together
We don't do this alone. Growing Together is about becoming more like Christ in community—in groups, in friendships, in serving alongside one another. Acts 2:42 gives us a picture of what this looks like: a community devoted to the Word, to prayer, to breaking bread together. That's the kind of church we're trying to be.
What is your next Growth Step?
Pursuing God's Mission
Faith isn't just personal—it's missional. Pursuing God's Mission means living generously, serving one another, and sharing the gospel. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20: "Go and make disciples of all nations." We're all a part of that.
