I Will Be Saved September 5/6, 2026

Pastor Jeff Manion concludes our Saved series by exploring glorification—the future hope of complete salvation. We discover that our salvation isn't just past and present but has a triumphant future when Jesus will end sin's presence and reunite with us forever. We learn that the war within us still rages, but the promise of glorification motivates our sanctification today, giving us hope in the midst of suffering. We are challenged to reorient our understanding of heaven around Jesus himself and let the truth of our future salvation inform how we worship and persevere now.
But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
20But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.
2Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
This Weekend
Following Jesus
This is the foundation—a commitment to lifelong trust and surrender. It's not just a one-time decision. It's a daily posture of saying, "Jesus, I'm yours, and I'm following you." Galatians 2:20 captures it beautifully: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."
What will your next step be?
Growing Together
We don't do this alone. Growing Together is about becoming more like Christ in community—in groups, in friendships, in serving alongside one another. Acts 2:42 gives us a picture of what this looks like: a community devoted to the Word, to prayer, to breaking bread together. That's the kind of church we're trying to be.
What is your next Growth Step?
Pursuing God's Mission
Faith isn't just personal—it's missional. Pursuing God's Mission means living generously, serving one another, and sharing the gospel. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20: "Go and make disciples of all nations." We're all a part of that.
