I Was Saved August 22/23, 2026

Saved

Pastor Aaron Buer begins our Saved series by exploring the full scope of salvation in Ephesians 2, showing that being saved is bigger than a single moment in the past. We discover that we were spiritually dead in sin, deserving God's righteous judgment, before he made us alive in Christ through his great love and mercy. We learn that salvation comes by grace alone through faith alone—not by works, so no one can boast—and that we are God's masterpiece, created for good works he prepared in advance. We are challenged to understand what we've been saved from, appreciate the gift we could never earn, and look for the good works God has designed us to do.

I Was Saved

Ephesians 2:1-10

Made Alive in Christ

1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. ...

Journey with Us

Growing Together

We don't do this alone. Growing Together is about becoming more like Christ in community—in groups, in friendships, in serving alongside one another. Acts 2:42 gives us a picture of what this looks like: a community devoted to the Word, to prayer, to breaking bread together. That's the kind of church we're trying to be.

Pursuing God's Mission

Faith isn't just personal—it's missional. Pursuing God's Mission means living generously, serving one another, and sharing the gospel. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20: "Go and make disciples of all nations." We're all a part of that.
