Honest to God

About

Senior Pastor Jeff Manion shares Habakkuk’s journey from complaining to God to trusting him. In this story, Habakkuk complains to God, God responds and Habakkuk trusts God in the face of terrible circumstances. As we move through Habakkuk’s story, we discover three words connected to trusting God— patience, joy and strength—that will help us navigate our seasons of difficulty. These words are not a simple three-step plan. They are three difficult actions that transform how we engage God and our pain as we trust him. Trusting God through patience is looking past the pain toward God’s intent to restore you and your situation. Joy is trusting God and experiencing the security of his goodness. Trusting God for strength is dependence upon God—having him guide you through your treacherous season with agility, balance and traction.
