Representing Jesus and His Kingdom

April 12, 2026

Sermon Series: You Asked for It: Volume 2

:

Guest Pastor Ed Stetzer explores what it means to be Christ's ambassadors in 2 Corinthians 5, challenging us to represent Jesus in a world that doesn't share our values. We discover that new life in Christ requires a new perspective shaped by the gospel rather than cultural voices that compete for our attention. We learn that God has entrusted us with the ministry of reconciliation, carrying his appeal to a searching world that needs what only Jesus can provide. We are challenged to examine whether we're more shaped by the world or the Word, and to live as ambassadors whose character makes the invisible Christ visible.

Parables

The stories Jesus told and what they mean for your life today . Why did Jesus teach in stories? Because the deepest truths about God are often found in the ordinary moments of life. In the parables, Jesus takes everyday things, a lost sheep, a dinner party, a farmer planting seeds and uses them to show us what God is really like and what it means to follow him. This summer, we’re spending seven weeks in the parables from Luke’s gospel. Whether you’ve heard these stories a hundred times or this is your first time, you’re invited to come and hear them fresh. June 27/28–August 8/9
