THREE THINGS TO KNOW
DON’T MISS THIS
Jesus & The City, our fall series, kicks off September 11/12. Discuss what it means for your group to get the most out of the series by making it a priority to listen to the sermons, spend time in the journal and discuss it as a group.
This month we are highlighting the group value of invite. Is there someone your group knows who isn’t connected to a church that you could invite to join you for Jesus & The City? Fall is a great time to create new rhythms to attend church and gather with a group to discuss what they are hearing.
GROW AS A LEADER
Now is a great time to have a 1-on-1 with your small group staff contact if you haven’t already this summer. Reach out to them today to check in and hear what’s going on this fall.
The sermon discussion guide is a little different this week due to the holiday weekend and because we spent all summer in the Sermon on the Mount. Let us know what you think about it via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is the final week of our series Just Don’t and wraps up our time in the Sermon on the Mount. This week we reflect back on this week’s sermon and the summer.
What was one highlight of your summer? What’s something you really like about fall?
Have someone read Matthew 7:1-6 aloud. What caught your attention as you heard it read?

Jesus seems to be going after the heart. How are the warnings related to what happens in our hearts?
Which of the warnings do you feel like you need to focus on in this season in your life?
What are some ways you can focus on that warning?
