THREE THINGS TO KNOW

DON’T MISS THIS

Did you catch the announcement about our third option for weekend services? You can still (1) watch online and (2) with others with Ada Bible Church Home Edition. With a target date of July 26, we will offer a (3) limited, in-person live service option for those comfortable with it. These are some of the ways our people can be a part of Ada Bible Church. Details to come.

GROUP VALUES

This month we are highlighting Spiritual Practices. It can be easy to get caught up in the different routines of summer and lose our spiritual rhythm. As a leader, you can help encourage and challenge your group to maintain Spiritual Practices like prayer, Bible study and solitude.

GROW AS A LEADER

Did you know we have a  Small Group Leaders Facebook group? If you haven’t joined, jump in today and share a picture of your group, something you have learned as a leader or a way your group has served together!

DISCUSSION GUIDE

Welcome to week eleven of our series, The Way of the Wise. This week we discuss the centrality of our heart in our lives.

What did you do for July 4th?

THE WISDOM CHALLENGE

What’s one main idea that you keep noticing over and over throughout The Wisdom Challenge?

INVEST IN YOUR HEART

Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.”  We invest in our hearts when we put truth and wisdom in. What is your current plan to invest truth and wisdom into your heart??

We have three environments of growth at Ada Bible: the Row, the Circle and the Chair. How have those environments helped shape your heart?

Jesus tells us in Luke 6:45 that good things come out of the good stored in our hearts. How have you experienced good things that you put in come out in your life?

GUARD YOUR HEART

Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” It can be easy not to consider what is going into our hearts. We see things, hear things or think things, and don’t even pay attention. What are some ways we can guard our ears, eyes and minds?

Proverbs 4:26-27 says, “Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.” Why do you think we have to be intentional to have a healthy heart, not just hope we wander there?

How can our group help each other guard our hearts?

WRAP UP
