THREE THINGS TO KNOW
DON’T MISS THIS
Easter is next week. Consider who you could invite to Easter Services online. This is a unique opportunity for us to engage those around us with the good news of Jesus. Invite them to watch Saturday at 5:30 pm or Sunday 9 & 11 am at adabible.org/live.
GROUP VALUES
This month we are focused on formative conversations. We don’t want to look back at this time and feel like we went backward spiritually. How can your group make time for both connection and formative conversations during this season?
GROW AS A LEADER
Connection is needed more now than ever. The Small Group Leaders Facebook page provides community with other small group leaders for encouragement, tips and conversation.
DISCUSSION GUIDE
Pastor Jeff Manion’s message this week helps us see that desert situations are fertile land for both forward and backward movement. This week, we are discussing how to move forward in the midst of a difficult season.
What are your plans for Easter?
Have someone read aloud Numbers 11:4-17.
COMPLAINT
The Israelites are full of complaints. What emotions do you think lead to their complaints?
Passing through the land between is difficult because we just get sick of it. How is complaining dangerous to our hearts? What’s your “I’m sick of this”?
MELTDOWN
Moses’ conversation with God is raw. Why do you think his meltdown is included for us in the Bible?
Moses says he feels like he is carrying a great weight. How do you relate to that feeling?
PROVISION
God doesn’t respond to Moses’ meltdown with harsh words or punishment, but with provision. How have you experienced God meeting you in a difficult season with provision?
Jesus taught us to ask God daily for provision. What are some daily things it would be wise to ask God for in our current situation?
GROWTH
The Israelites are in trust school. How can this time serve as trust school for us?
Trust pushes out complaint. What are some areas of your life you want to trust God with more?
WRAP UP
This week, we talked about how the desert is fertile ground for numerous things. What challenged you the most? What’s one thing you want to do differently this week?
