Martin Reformed Church
Youth Director – Full-Time (Salaried, 40 Hours/Week)
Primary Objective: To lead, direct, and develop the faith journey of youth in grades 6–12 and post-high
school young adults, helping them grow in their relationship with Christ.

● Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience in youth ministry or a related field).

safe, healthy boundaries.
● Ability to effectively communicate the Gospel and motivate youth and adult leaders.
● Proficiency and engagement in social media for ministry communication and outreach.
Administrative Responsibilities
● Oversee and organize all aspects of youth ministry, including:
o Weekly meetings
o Fun events
o Service projects
o Bi-annual mission trips
o Bi-annual retreats
o Small group activities
● Prepare and maintain an annual calendar of youth ministry events.
● Promote youth programs through church bulletins, inserts, calendars, newsletters, and social
media.
● Develop and manage the annual youth ministry budget, including:
o Maintaining the youth checking account
o Purchasing supplies
o Reimbursing volunteers and leaders
o Submitting a year-end report to the consistory
● Attend and participate in staff, youth leader, and congregational meetings as needed.
● Provide letters of recommendation and community service letters for youth when requested.
Leadership Responsibilities
● Recruit, train, and support youth ministry leaders; meet regularly for planning and
encouragement.
● Prepare and lead lessons for weekly youth and post-high meetings.
● Plan and attend all youth events, including retreats, mission trips, and service projects.
● Assist the pastor in planning and implementing Profession of Faith classes.
● Stay familiar with available youth ministry resources and incorporate them as appropriate.
● Attend school and community events to show support for youth (e.g., sports, concerts, plays).
● Remain attentive to the spiritual and practical needs of youth and their families in the church and
community, identifying opportunities for ministry and discipleship.
Accountability
● Reports directly to the Pastor and the Consistory.
Compensation
● Salary commensurate with experience and education.
