Bonus pay – experienced Team Leader positions pay a bonus of:

  • $250 after 45 days of service,
  • $250 after 90 days of service, AND
  • $250 after 6 months of service!!!

JOB DUTIES:

  • Drives continuous improvement process and initiatives to ensure deliverables are exceeded. These deliverables include Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost, and Culture goals.
  • Serves as owner of team board process; includes updating metrics daily, transfers information from work team to team board to provide visibility of team measures and tracks action items identified by team
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels as defined with Manufacturing Manager, ensures training of employees is complete and standard work processes are followed
  • Performs production responsibilities as necessary to cover for absenteeism or fluctuations in schedule/volume
  • Communicates appropriately with team members; recognize successes and communicates deficiencies
  • Identifies root causes and trends of problems in area; communicates with Production Manager or other Support Staff members to initiate corrective action plan
  • Understands established quality standards and performs quality checks per standard work
  • Collaborates with team to promote ideas and continuous improvement
  • Utilizes personal computer (PC) and keyboard/mouse skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, and other necessary applications to perform tracking and documenting of improvements

EDUCATION:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • College education preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years manufacturing experience
  • Experience in training operators to efficiently and safely operate equipment
  • Working knowledge of the operation of production equipment within a manufacturing facility
  • Furniture experience a plus
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in a manufacturing leadership role required
  • Lean Leadership experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing software

SPECIAL SKILLS:

  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Must be motivated and self directed
  • Strong organizational skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Standing/Sitting and Bending for extended periods of time
  • Must wear protective safety gear during the duration of each shift (safety glasses, etc.)
  • Possess the manual dexterity needed to use computer keyboard and mouse
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
