Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst Job Summary:

A global faith-based philanthropic organization with West Michigan roots is adding a Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst to its team. The Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst’s primary responsibilities include general ledger, financial reporting and analysis, accounts payable and expense reimbursements, and assisting with the disbursements process. Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile asset, liabilities, expense, and tax accounts monthly, creating adjusting journal entries as necessary.
  • Compiles, examines, and verifies accounting documents and financial data to establish and maintain accurate detailed financial records, reports, and statements.
  • Review, audit and verify the accuracy of accounting classifications to the general ledger accounts and other financial records
  • Facilitate and coordinate the compilation and preparation of external audit materials and financial reporting at year-end
  • Prepare annual budgets and reconciliation of budget to actual results
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and perform analysis as directed
  • Contribute to the improvement, automation, and streamlining of accounting’s reporting processes and performance measurements to maximize the contribution to the company’s goals

Schedule: Full-time

Pay: $60,000-$70,000/YR, Depending on Experience

Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 2+ years of Accounting or Analyst experience
  • Previous experience in QuickBooks online, experience with Salesforce preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated MS Excel & MS PowerPoint skills
  • High-level critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong organization and analytical skills; attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, accountability and confidentiality.
  • Displays a high level of personal and professional integrity.
