Position Summary
Responsible for the development and implementation of a global digital marketing strategy that supports overall mission, vision and meets the impact objectives of Our Daily Bread Ministries. Responsible for driving the global digital marketing strategy, digital audience acquisition, digital audience retention and digital donation portfolio.  Supports the development and introduction of digital products and programs that fulfill Our Daily Bread’s Mission, Vision, and Bible-based content objectives.
Essential Functions

  • Working closely with Global SVPs and the VP of Research and Innovation, you’ll inform strategies and design tactics for new member growth, acquisition, retention and contributions across all digital channels for the global ministry.
  • This leader will deliver world class direction around multi-channel, digital-first content and will be responsible for driving the current and future Our Daily Bread brand and user experience digital strategy while creating an active learning atmosphere where all global marketing teams are embracing the opportunities uncovered through various digital ecosystems.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of US and globally based marketers to drive compelling marketing and holistic UX thinking across multiple Our Daily Bread experiences.
  • Plays a key, strategic role in the adoption of Agile process thinking and will be a core champion of the implementation of Scaled Agile Framework  (SAFe) across the entire global ministry.
  • Develop a comprehensive digital marketing and communications strategy and programs that accomplish Our Daily Bread Ministries global strategic objectives of impact and engagement.
  • Grow and manage Our Daily Bread Ministries participation in online, mobile, and social activities and explore additional digital partnerships.
  • Lead digital marketing projects, from inception to completion, working with internal and external cross-functional teams including other global marketers, design team members, UX researchers, UX designers, project managers, ministry effort teams, IS, production, customer service and others.
  • Provide thought leadership on all things digital; promote new practices and ideas.
  • Leverages knowledge of emerging digital technologies and how they may optimize current marketing programs.
  • Align and coordinates consumer touch points of all digital marketing channels/tools to insure consistency of creative elements.
  • Monitors, plans and directs digital analytics/research to gather information and compile statistics pertinent to planning and execution of digital campaigns. Leverages web analytics to establish benchmarks and report on campaigns.
  • Collaborates with research teams to apply market research and data-driven approaches to target audiences, content and outreach efforts and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) globally.

Study or Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science or related field. A master degree is not required, though candidates with this distinction may be given preference
  • Must be capable of strategic and tactical planning within the framework of Digital Marketing and leading a team of US Digital Marketing specialists while advising/supporting teams of global, non-US based marketing specialists.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in Digital Marketing management
  • Familiarity and expertise with Agile process for digital development, preferred expertise in Scaled Agile Framework for enterprises (SAFe).  Advises Product Managers and Product Owners within the SAFe process.
  • A proven and high-level of digital marketing competency is a must (Web, social media, email marketing etc.)
  • Must be capable of coordinating multiple marketing efforts and keep track of the details of simultaneous projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and show initiative in dealing with other individuals/groups/vendors.
  • Must be capable of leading a US team of digital marketing specialists and advising global teams on best practices.
  • Excellent and diplomatic oral/written communication skills including negotiation skills as needed.
  • Proven cultural capability in listening and working with global stakeholders and teams (e.g., non-US based).
  • Strives to live a life consistent with biblical principles and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development.

Internal Work Environment

  • Must be capable of diplomatic partnership style communication with the assigned ministry effort team(s).
  • Persuasion, discretion, and tact needed to educate and gain support for complex marketing efforts with individuals and/or groups throughout the organization.

External Work Environment

  • High degree of communication required in networking with other organizations, consultants and vendors. Professionalism, tact, and persuasion required.
  • Responsible for decisions that will affect how the public views Our Daily Bread Ministries.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and support for global marketing efforts related to digital marketing.
  • Lead the US digital marketing team responsible for the associated digital marketing activity.
  • Able to lead with excellence and provide explanation of marketing efforts to involved departments/individuals so that all involved fully understand project goal(s), expected results, and required services.
  • Provide direction and clarity on decisions affecting digital marketing in regards to offers, scheduling, and other related needs.
  • Capable of understanding and advocating for global digital growth needs.

Stewardship of Resources

  • Responsible for the continued success of all digital marketing efforts
  • Responsible for the outcome and response of all digital marketing efforts in the form of lives ministered to and contributions received.
  • Responsible to establish and work within the budget for all digital efforts.

Miscellaneous: Significant international travel required.
