RESIDENTIAL HOME TECHNICIAN
Job Description and Duties
A residential home technician is responsible for assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including personal care and hygiene, household support, independent living skills, and activities outlined in the housemate’s Individual Plan of Service (IPOS). These tasks are carried out under the supervision of the Home Manager and Campus Coordinator.

Typical Duties:

Assisting housemates with personal hygiene. Our housemates are largely independent but need prompting and direction. This may include but is not limited to showering, dressing, shaving, dental care, etc.

Implementing each housemate’s IPOS and completing all required documentation on time.

Encouraging and assisting housemates to be involved in community activities and outings.

Administering medications, treatments, and therapy programs as instructed by clinicians and completing documentation per Community Mental Health policies and procedures.

Communicating effectively with your supervisor and clinicians about the needs of the housemates.

Completing required training(s) on time.

Attending mandatory staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must complete Residential Tech or equivalent training before the first scheduled shift, which will be provided.

Must submit to a pre-employment, annual, random, and for-cause drug screen.

Must adhere to the professional code of ethics.

The agency requires a Criminal Background Check.

Must have reliable transportation.
