Aim:

The aim of the Fulfillment Associate is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer orders from pick to shipment. This role is essential to RHB's fulfillment operations, providing reliable order accuracy, efficient packing and shipping, and professional coordination with shipping carriers to serve customers and ministry events well.

The five essential roles for the Fulfillment Associate position include:

•        Order Picking & Verification: Accurately pull and verify customer orders against pick invoices to ensure complete and correct fulfillment before packing.

•        Packing & Shipment Preparation: Pack, weigh, and label shipments with care and efficiency, ensuring orders are properly prepared for prompt, damage-free delivery.

•        Shipping & Carrier Coordination: Ship orders to customers and ministry events, provide tracking information, and coordinate professionally with carriers including USPS, FedEx, and UPS.

•        Records & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to orders, shipments, and fulfillment activities to support operational accountability.

•        Team Support & Departmental Collaboration: Support other departments, assist with additional tasks as assigned, and contribute to a cooperative and productive fulfillment team environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

More specifically, the Fulfillment Associate will:

Order Picking & Verification

•        Accurately pick customer orders based on pick invoices

•        Verify order contents for completeness and accuracy prior to packing

•        Identify and communicate discrepancies or errors to the Fulfillment Manager

Packing & Shipment Preparation

•        Pack orders securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit

•        Weigh and label shipments accurately for prompt delivery

•        Select appropriate packaging materials based on order size and shipment requirements

Shipping & Carrier Coordination

•        Ship orders to customers and ministry events in a timely manner

•        Provide customers with accurate tracking information

•        Coordinate with carriers including USPS, FedEx, and UPS for pickups and drop-offs

•        Safely handle and move boxes using appropriate equipment for larger shipments

Records & Documentation

•        Maintain accurate records of orders processed and shipments dispatched

•        Document any fulfillment discrepancies, carrier issues, or order changes

•        Ensure all paperwork and digital records are current and properly filed

Team Support & Departmental Collaboration

•        Support other departments with fulfillment-related needs as directed

•        Assist with increased order volume during holidays and seasonal sales periods

•        Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Fulfillment Manager

•        Contribute positively to team communication and workflow

Education Requirements:

•        High school diploma, equivalent, or greater

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

The Fulfillment Associate should have…

•        Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

•        Strong written and verbal communication abilities

•        Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work both independently and collaboratively

•        Proficiency with computers and digital tools

•        Familiarity with shipping carriers and fulfillment processes preferred

Essential Physical Requirements:

•        Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a warehouse environment

•        Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving boxes up to 50 lbs. regularly

•        Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and handle materials throughout a full shift

•        Ability to safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other fulfillment equipment as needed

•        Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with teammates, supervisors, and carriers

The Fulfillment Associate will typically work 40 hours per week during regular operational hours. Employees should anticipate increased hours during holidays and other seasonal sales periods based on operational needs. Some Saturdays may be required. Flexibility is required with regard to hours and assignments. This Job Description may not include every task that the employee may be asked to perform.
