Community Program Director
Location: Greater Grand Rapids, MI area
Employment Status: Part-time
Salary: $18-$20/hr.
Hours: 20 hours per week during the day; some weekends and evenings
Description:
Because every life has value and purpose, King’s Table is dedicated to serving individuals and families impacted by developmental and intellectual disabilities. King’s Table provides supportive services, enrichment opportunities, and community connections in public center-based special education schools, Adult Foster Care (AFC) group homes, and in the community.
The Community Program Director oversees and coordinates programming provided throughout the community for individuals impacted by disabilities and their families. This position also has the potential to be a management position overseeing the Program Directors Team. This work contributes to the organization’s mission and reflects the priorities and approved budget in accordance with the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Program & Volunteer Coordinator:
· Research, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs offered to the special needs community including existing and future programs.
· Recruit, train, encourage, and coordinate volunteers and their activities as they relate to the programs offered
· Work in collaboration with other King’s Table Program Directors and community partners
Administrative:
· Various office duties such as answering emails and phone calls, filing, providing an article for the newsletter, and maintaining volunteer and program recipient files (including applications, photo releases, and background checks)
· Process physical (in kind) donation; send thank you notes and donation receipts; submit donations and communicate donor information to the Bookkeeper
· Submit regular program reports to the Executive Director
Planning & Development:
· Initiate and set goals for organizational programs
· Follow a budget & operating plan
· Evaluate programs
· Identify and communicate program risks
Community Outreach and Fundraising:
· Promote King’s Table in the community, solicit donations for various programs, and assist with fundraisers & community events
· Write and submit stories and provide pictures and video content for use by King’s Table
· Seek ways to collaborate with community partners
· Advocate for King’s Table in the community, which may include occasional speaking events
