King’s Table provides supportive services, enrichment opportunities, and community connections in public center-based special education schools, Adult Foster Care (AFC) group homes, and at our Community Hub.
We are looking to hire an experienced, self-directed part-time Program Director to join our team. The Program Director oversees, and coordinates King’s Table programming provided in special education schools for young adults and at our Hub utilizing volunteers from local schools, churches, and community groups. The roles and responsibilities of this job support the culture, mission, vision, and values of our organization. • Reliable transportation is required. This position requires weekly travel to several locations throughout Kent County.
Duties & Responsibilities: Program & Volunteer Coordinator:
• Develop, implement, & manage programs provided by King’s Table or in partnership with the schools.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with families, school staff at multiple school locations and members of the community.
• Recruit, train, encourage, and coordinate volunteers and their activities as they relate to the programs we offer.
• Collaborate with other Program Directors on staff.
• Participate in school-sponsored leadership planning committees and model collaboration and a positive influence on the school staff.
Administrative:
• Various office duties
• Process in-kind donations
• Donor communication
• Set and manage a programming budget
• Submit Program Reports
Planning & Development (with the Executive Director)
• Create and meet short and long-term programming goals.
• Follow a budget & operating plan.
• Evaluate programs annually.
• Identify and communicate program risks.
Community Outreach and Fundraising:
• Promote King’s Table in the community, solicit donations for various programs, and assist with fundraisers & community events.
• Write & submit stories and provide pictures & video content from programming activities.
• Meet with and give tours at the school or Hub to potential volunteers or donors, focusing on the programming from King’s Table.
