Preschool Lead Teacher – 3-year olds
Job Description:
The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences that
advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-
centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. The Preschool Lead Teacher will assist children in our
3-year old Preschool Program and our multi-age afternoon enrichment program in a developmentally
appropriate manner and will also ensure all children’s basic care needs are met. The Lead Teacher will
establish and maintain positive family, child, and staff relationships, and ensure safety and the highest
quality childcare. The hours for this program will typically be from 7:30am-3:30pm.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Over 18 yrs. old with a High School Diploma or a GED.
Current CDA credential, Associates or Bachelors in Early Childhood or Education
Professional experience in childcare is a must. We are looking for a candidate who truly enjoys
working with young children.
Must be able to pass a background check on local and government level.
Must be willing and able to continue learning throughout the year and commit to 18 hours of
training.
Must follow all relevant State of Michigan Child Daycare Licensing rules and regulations.
CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)
Blood Borne Pathogens training (employer will organize training if not yet trained)
Must have or willing to take Virtus – Protecting God’s Children Training.
