External Title: Partner Relations Officer
Reports To: Chief Development Officer (CDO) or VP
Purpose of Position:
To secure funds for the organization by fulfilling the interests and passions of mid-level donors by having regular contact, thank you’s, reporting back the impact of their giving, following up with additional giving opportunities, encouraging them to give, praying with them, and assuring that as many as possible are retained as continuing donors to the organization and are growing in their giving and involvement.
Responsibilities:
· Qualify an assigned portfolio of new, lapsed or potential giving partners as directed by the CDO / SVP within the determined tiers of the mid-level range.
· Communicate via phone or meetings to establish and cultivate relationships with these individuals with the goal of understanding their connection (interests) to LIFE International’s mission and give them the appropriate information to fuel their desires for financial partnership.
· Follow the organizations Donor Engagement Plan (DEP) that is driven by individuals passions and interests and participate in the execution of that plan as designed.
· Share project information related to that donor’s interests and present invitations when appropriate.
· Help partners relationally transition to Major Gift Officer level when appropriate
· Invite and keep track of donors’ prayer requests and prayer for them when appropriate and welcomed.
· Report monthly on caseload progress and goals to the CDO / VP and Mission Advancement Team.
· Perform other mid-level donor activities as required by management.
· Participation in donor events and activities as required. IE: Banquet, Regional Dinners, Donor Briefing Events.
Performance Metrics
· Qualifying and disqualifying donors for a caseload : including reporting to the CDO and providing appropriate documentation when needed.
· Achieving overall agreed-upon revenue goal based on individual mid-level donor goals.
· Development of a personal contact schedule and giving opportunities that considers the individual donor’s interests, motivations, giving patterns, capacity and communication preferences.
· Presenting project and organization information, creating and writing effective appeals when needed. Provide regular and timely reporting back to the donor.
· Creating timely reports that reflect caseload performance.
· How well you get along with peers, subordinates, management and maintain a positive and constructive attitude while solving problems. Being a team player and protecting the mission, goals, and values of the organization.
Qualifications:
· Demonstrates a strong and growing relationship in Jesus Christ.
· Understands, believes, and practices the Biblical principles of the value of human life message and can compassionately articulate the integrated message of the Gospel and the sanctity of human life.
· A person of upstanding character.
· Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, and donor relations is desired.
· Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to publicly present organizational message in a compelling manner.
· Displays excellent leadership, time management, and interpersonal skills.
· Highly organized and gives attention to details.
· Demonstrates an ability to remain professional, positive and motivated when rejections occur.
· Displays proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook software programs.
