Nanny / Childcare - Part-time
We are looking for a part time nanny for our two children, ages 4 years old and 2 years old. I am a physician and do shift work, my husband owns his own business and works from home. We need someone for ~80 hours/month. There are some weeks where we need childcare 40 hours/week and other weeks where we only need a few hours. We have found it works best to pay our nanny a guaranteed 80 hours/month salary to allow for a consistent paycheck. We are only looking for daytime, weekday hours. We provide our nanny a schedule in 4 month intervals, so while the schedule is variable it is known in advance. We are open to providing more hours for someone to function in a household manager role and assist with housekeeping, errands, and organizational projects. We live in the Cascade area. Our kids are accustomed to having my husband at home working while our nanny is here. He has a designated office. Our kids\’ days are typically spent at home. They enjoy art projects, reading, magnatiles, playing with trucks, dolls, and their toy kitchen, pretending to be fire fighters, sandbox creations, riding their scooters and playing outdoors. We do our best to be a screenfree home and encourage time outdoors each day. They also enjoy trips to the library, Frederick Meijer Gardens, the bakery and the park. We are looking for someone with childcare or early elementary experience but also value those who have not had formal \”nanny\” experience but have raised children and know how to run a household. We rely on our nanny as integral part of our household and are looking for someone trustworthy, dependable and professional. We value open communication and feedback. We hope to find someone who will engage with our kids and genuinely enjoy the time spent with them. Historically we have started our nanny in the $26-30/hr range depending on experience. We offer annual retention bonuses, paid time off and are generally able to accomodate schedule requests. Please contact us if interested in talking further.
