Job Description

Administrative / Office Management / Clerical - Full-time

Do you have a desire to use your administrative talents to support and manage the ministries and operations of a church? 

Brookside Christian Reformed Church is hiring a full-time Office Manager who will oversee the administrative operations of the church and church staff under the guidance of the Lead Pastor. The Office Manager will also work with lay leadership to facilitate communication between the congregation and staff and ensure that ministry and operational functions work well.

The ideal candidate must be willing to become a member of Brookside Christian Reformed Church. Brookside is a community of people, both young and old, from all walks of life; using their gifts to love, learn, seek, and serve.   

You will contribute by:

  • Managing the daily administrative operations of the church, assisting the Lead Pastor in implementing Brookside’s vision consistent with the budgets, policies, and plans adopted by the Council.

  • Overseeing church staff and departmental functions of the church, including maintenance, finance, arts/design, and print and digital media.  Delegating to staff, volunteers, or third-party vendors as needed. 

  • Providing ongoing management, review, oversight, and recommendations for improvement of administrative functions, policies, and procedures.

  • Researching and preparing the annual budget in collaboration with the staff and Administrative Elders & Deacons. 

  • Communicating with various leadership bodies; keeping them up-to-date on important news and events.
