Administrative / Office Management / Clerical - Full-time
Member Services Receptionist
Interact with patients in person and on the phone. Coordinate arrival and check-out of appointments. Facilitate the smooth running of the healthcare environment and support delivery of exceptional patient care.
· Greet patients
· Assist patients with registration
· Ensure patient information is accurate
· Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
· Move patients through appointments as scheduled
· Answer incoming calls and member inquiries
· Transfer calls as required
· Schedule patient appointments
· Collect payments when necessary
· Coordinate referrals for hospital admissions, tests, scans and outside appointments for patients
· Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
· Respond and comply to requests for information
· Monitor incoming and outgoing post
· Complete other clerical duties as assigned
· Maintain stock of forms and office supplies
· Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean
· Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or higher
· Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis
· Knowledge of electronic health record systems.
· Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
· Proficient in using Microsoft Office
· Experience in hospitality preferred
· Experience working in a pharmacy or with a dispensary preferred
