Healthcare - Part-time

Job Title: Scheduling Specialist

Department: Medical Services

Reporting Relationship: Medical Services Director

Days Worked: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Required Hours: Part Time; Est. 24 hours per week, hourly (non-exempt)

Benefit Eligible: No

Position Summary: Primary role is to schedule appointments for at-risk women, adhering to appropriate script and procedures. This person should be familiar with all patient services offered in order to provide general information to patients via text and phone conversations.

Specific Responsibilities:

Patient Relations

  • Able to follow appropriate scheduling line script

  • Make certain that all the scheduling procedures have been completed. These include:

    • Enter appointment information into database, generating Scheduling Line Intake Form

    • Manage appointment waiting list when necessary

    • Reschedule appointments as directed by office staff

  • Direct all other callers to appropriate resources and contacts within the organization

Administrative Duties

  • Works closely with the Director of Medical Services, staff, and volunteers regarding patient needs, and day-to-day schedules

  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, adhering to the confidentiality policy, as well as following critical policies and procedures regarding texting and follow-up with patients

  • Attends staff meetings and other PRC events as requested by Director of Medical Services

  • Consistently provides a calm, professional experience with each contact

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of organizational resources

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with highly sensitive data

  • Previous work experience with diverse populations

  • Previous work experience in human services or ministry

  • Proficient in smart phone usage, texting, Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, and database software

  • **Candidate must possess high-speed internet and possess the ability to effectively work from remote location
