CURE International Children’s Hospitals is seeking a practiced Marketing and Communications Operations Specialist to join our organization!
This is an onsite position working in the corporate headquarters located in Grand Rapids, MI, USA. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. CURE is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and timely delivery of Marketing & Communications initiatives and requested projects. This includes fundraising campaigns, engagement initiatives, departmental requests, and hospital support as they each align with organizational plans, goals, and priorities. The ideal candidate is able to work cross-departmentally to keep projects moving, while also engaging external vendors to manage timelines, cost, and quality of deliverables. This individual is highly organized, detailed, and a team player who continues to achieve project milestones while ensuring a high-level of quality and internal communication and takes responsibility for keeping projects on track.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Organize and manage marketing, communication and branding projects from kick-off to delivery to debriefing.
- Oversee the workflow and project management systems.
- Work to improve efficiency and timely delivery of materials.
- Work with requesters and audience managers to maintain communication calendars.
- Works cross-departmentally to keep projects on task and schedule.
- Ensure a quality review process is followed to eliminate errors and ensure high-quality work at all times. This includes overseeing the proofing process of each deliverable.
- Oversee the delivery of all campaigns as they transition from an external vendor to an in-house process.
- Support advancement projects and presentations with project updates, schedules, and reports.
- Engage external vendors for quotations, quality review, and delivery schedules in support of planned campaigns. Including media planning/purchasing.
- Partner with the Marketing & Events Coordinator to ensure events are executed with excellence and finite attention to detail, and savings are requested.
- Collaborate + Strategize with Global Director of Marketing, Communications and Brand to help plan large-scale events.
- Manage and support radio fundraising campaigns and drives.
- Assist with logistics for donor events (e.g., President’s Weekend).
- Participate in Organizational Staff Meetings as directed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or similar field, or an equivalent amount of related experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience (5+ preferred) in a role demonstrating administrative oversight, team-oriented support, project management and/or business administration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and inter-departmentally, including excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to receive feedback and maintain a positive attitude.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Superior organizational skills necessary to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, maintain collection under high pressure situations, and implement proactive problem-solving skills.
- Aptitude for budget management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications/Google Docs.
- Proficiency in various forms of project management software like Asana, Monday, Basecamp.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
