Administrative / Office Management / Clerical - Volunteer
Overview
The Leadership Board supports program launch steps 8–10 and oversees the ongoing operation of the program by:
- Providing guidance and feedback to the Program Director as he/she manages daily program operations
- Promoting and communicating LifeWise’s religious mission in all interactions, ensuring alignment with its core values and beliefs
- Overseeing the “5 L’s” of operations:
- Leadership: Recruit and onboard program staff and volunteers
- Location: Research, secure, and prepare facilities and transportation
- Logistics: Coordinate details and maintain strong communication with the school
- Loot: Lead fundraising efforts, create the budget, and manage finances
- Language: Ensure all public communications are excellent and reflect proper messaging
Group Makeup
The Leadership Board should:
- Have 3–9 members
- Represent the broader Christian community (various churches, ages, professions, genders, races, etc.)
- Include one person responsible for each of the 5 L’s—though individuals may oversee more than one
Member Responsibilities
Each member is expected to:
- Complete board-member training for their role
- Complete a background check and child-safety training every 3 years
- Follow and execute the T-Minus Plan before launch
- Actively participate in fundraising
- Faithfully attend scheduled meetings
- Commit to serving for at least one year
- Consistently pray for the local program
Member Qualifications
Every member should demonstrate the two LifeWise Core Values:
- Commitment: A heart aligned with the mission, motivated by love for the Lord, and fully supportive of the gospel-centered purpose of LifeWise
- Competence: The skills, experience, and relationships needed to accomplish tasks effectively
Members should also have:
- A mature personal Christian faith aligned with the “What We Believe” section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
- Active involvement in a local church whose doctrine aligns with that same statement
