Job Description

Accounting / Finance - Part-time

Little Lambs Parent Cooperative Preschool, located in Caledonia, Michigan, has been thriving since 1977. We are a “co-op” preschool, which means we’re owned and operated by our students’ parents. Teachers teach the classes, and parents are heavily involved in helping in the classroom and with many other aspects of our school. As a Christian preschool, we strive to provide a well balanced education based on learning through play. 

We are looking to hire a part time (25 hrs/week) lead preschool teacher.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 am – 1 pm

Paid Time Off: 6 days

School year runs September – May, Summers off

Holiday Breaks

Salary: $20,000

Lead Teacher Responsibilities:
– collaborate with the assistant teacher to prepare children for school academically and socially
– implement the developed curriculum by instructing students using the lesson plans and
coursework materials provided
– Supervise activities in the classroom and ensure the safety of all students
– Assess students and provide progress reports to parents annually
– file incident reports if the need arises with the assistance of the board
– cooperate with the board of directors and attend school board meetings

 

Qualifications:

  1. 21 years or older

  2. Highschool Diploma or GED

  3. Shall meet one of the qualifications below

a) Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or child development

b) Bachelor’s degree or higher in a child-related field including 18 semester hours of Coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 480 hours of experience

c) Montessori credential including 18 semester hours of Coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 480 hours of experience

d) Associate’s degree in early childhood education or child development including 18 semester hours of Coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 480 hours of experience

(e) Valid child development associate credential with 18 semester hours of Coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 960 hours of experience

(f) Sixty semester hours with 18 semester hours of Coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 1920 hours of experience
