St. John Vianney Catholic Preschool and Childcare is seeking an energetic, faith-filled early preschool lead teacher for our 12 months to 2.5 year old program. The primary role of a preschool lead teacher is instructing students in a developmentally appropriate way according to the Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality and creating a fun, faith-filled educational environment. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Job Description:
• Follow Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality
• Create a caring, faith-filled, safe environment for learning
• Incorporate and actively engage students in developmentally appropriate activities
• Provide individual, small group, and whole group instruction
• Coordinate and collaborate with coworkers
Application Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education with specialization in preschool teaching OR a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and a ZA Endorsement on Michigan Teaching Certificate OR a valid Michigan teaching certificate with a CDA
• Demonstrated experience working with children in a classroom setting
• First Aid and Adult/Child CPR certification
• Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
• Commitment to fostering the faith of the children
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Pass a background and criminal history check
