Team Member:

We are seeking a full-time LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or MA (Medical Assistant) to join our infusion therapy team. This position is patient-facing with back-office operational work and requires exceptional communication and multitasking skills, a positive friendly attitude, and a strong work ethic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The primary duty and responsibility include the preparation, consent, administration, monitoring, and charting of infusion and injection therapy.
  • Collect laboratory specimens and perform urinalysis.
  • Assist with ordering and inventory management.
  • Assist with next-day preparation tasks, such as reviewing patient charts and preparing patient forms, paperwork, and fee slips.
  • Assist in coordinating same day IV therapy appointments.
  • Assist with completing the patient check-out process accurately. Complete encounter form, collect charges that are due, and post patient information, charges, and payment in EHR.
  • Keep current with EHR tasks and emails.
  • Answer incoming calls in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner. Pleasantly screen and refer incoming calls to ensure that accurate and timely communication is facilitated. Take complete and accurate messages when necessary.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Patient education and compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, corporate compliance plans, workforce confidentiality rules, safety protocols, rules, OSHA regulations, and professionalism standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA).
  • Infusion/phlebotomy experience required.
  • Insyte IV catheter experience preferred.
  • Must express an interest in functional medicine.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail, time management, and critical thinking ability.
  • Excellent clinical and computer skills, with experience using an EHR system.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently while closely coordinating with Providers and clinical staff.
