Position Summary:

Individual will service as the first point of contact and “face” of the Our Daily Bread Ministry.  Warmly greet visitors and vendors and assist our visitors with Our Daily Bread resources and the purchase of ODBP products. Assist with HR recruitment efforts and serve as main point of contact with all applicable candidates. 

Essential Functions:

  • Warmly greet all incoming visitors, vendors, and employee family members.
  • Answer switchboard (operator calls) and transfer to correct departments as needed.
  • Use appropriate software to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of ministry.
  • Manage lobby store inventory effectively and order products and office supplies as needed.
  • Prep for opening, maintain throughout the day and close out the front lobby.
  • Assist with shipping / receiving tasks
  • Handle petty cash and gift cards
  • Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter the interior of the ministry
  • Manage and access schedules for conference rooms
  • Work side by side with HR recruiter to communicate, schedule and coordinate all interviews. 
  • Maintain recruitment open positions documentation 
  • Work interdepartmentally across the ministry to efficiently full open positions. 
  • Post new positions on internal and external jobs boards
  • Operate as ODB tour coordinator
  • Perform other HR duties as needed

Study or Knowledge and Experience:

  • High school graduate
  • Previous recruitment experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (this covers the “warmth” part of the job)
  • Good organizational skills; able to multi-task
  • Professionalism and self-composure during an emergency
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strive to live a life consistent with Biblical principles and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development. 
  • Professional demeanor and approach to a diverse global workforce
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, assessment, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.


Internal Work Environment:

Extensive communication throughout the organization that could require tactfulness, sensitivity, and is quite detailed. Complete confidentiality of information is a must.

External Communications Requirements:

Responsible to provide a positive impression of the ministry to visitors and staff, being aware that some topics are sensitive and require complete confidentiality.
