The Caledonia Gathering, a CRC church plant in Caledonia, Michigan, is looking for our new Director of Worship. This part-time position will provide leadership and oversight in the area of corporate worship at The Caledonia Gathering. The Director of Worship will work closely with the pastor and worship volunteers to create and facilitate worship services that lead people into a conversation with God, bringing our whole story before God, and to celebrate, repent, and lament the events of the lives of our people and house gatherings.

Ministry Description: The Director of Worship will provide leadership and oversight in the area of corporate worship at The Caledonia Gathering. This person will work closely with Pastor Joel and worship volunteers to create and facilitate worship services that lead people into a conversation with God, bringing our whole story before God and to celebrate, repent, and lament the events of the lives of our people and house gatherings.
Personal Qualifications needed for the Director of Worship
1. Possess a love for Christ and His church.
2. Model a godly lifestyle.
3. Have gifts in the area of music and the arts.
4. Proficient in piano and/or guitar.
5. Proficient in vocal ability.
6. Have excellent organizational and administrative skills.
7. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Have the humility to receive mentoring from others.
9. Have the ability to mentor next generation leaders.
10. Be a team player and builder.
Responsibilities
1. Create and lead worship services that facilitate a conversation between God and his people.
2. Invite, develop, and utilize volunteer musicians, vocalists, and audio technicians.
3. Create the song slides for each Sunday morning service.
4. Lead or provide leadership for weekly praise team practice.
5. Communicate weekly with Pastor Joel for sermon series information.
6. Participate in a quarterly work review with Pastor Joel.
7. Participate in the monthly TCG leaders meeting and provide a verbal work report.
8. Report monthly in writing to the Council of Caledonia CRC (‘mother church’ to TCG).
9. Join and participate in a house gathering.
