Position Summary:

Provide level-one support for DevOps Team of engineers.

    

   Essential Functions:

  1. Help build DevOps and CI/CD solutions and be a part of a team of high-performance DevOps Engineers.
  2. Liaise with development teams across technology teams to elevate existent best practices and collaborate to build new solutions that address identified opportunities
  3. Liaise with the CTO leadership team and work to bring modernization to the DevOps space while following enterprise guidelines
  4. Play a critical role in building best practices-based corporate DevOps culture.
  5. Build, operate, and advocate DevOps solutions and tooling to accelerate corporate goals.
  6. Work with Global teams and vendors to lead the Dev Ops strategy of the Ministry. 
  7. Help optimize cost for AWS solutions put in place and be able to work with internal and external teams. 
  8. Create the container infrastructure platform for the company
  9. Coordinate with other infrastructure teams to meet goals
  10. Enhance delivery systems with Continuous Integration
  11. Improve the monitoring and alert system
  12. Troubleshoot issues and solve problems where needed
  13. Create and nurture highly available systems on Kubernete

Study or Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering/ or anything specific that you prefer
  • At least 5 plus experience of experience working with Kubernetes and Docker 
  • Experience working on open-source projects
  • Strong expertise in DevOps and CI/CD implementation
  • Thorough knowledge of cloud-native development (AWS)
  • Experience with container technologies like Docker
  • Understanding of microservice design and architectural patterns
  • Familiar with complex event processing and event-driven architecture
  • Experience in SDLC processes, architectural patterns, and development frameworks
  • Good understanding on branching strategy
  • Understanding concepts around Dev Sec Ops 
  • Strive to live a life consistent with biblical principles and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development.

  • Frequent communication with users and teams throughout the organization.
  • Requires team-based collaboration on software projects
  • Requires complex and technical communication in both verbal and written form.

 

External Communication Requirements:

  • Requires complex and technical communication in both verbal and written form.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Recommend new technologies and best practices related to application functionality and performance, related services, etc.

International Responsibilities:

  • Requires communication and coordination with teams around the globe.
  • May require (< 10%) international travel to facilitate development projects.

Stewardship of Resources:

  • Continually improve the efficiency of applications, content posting, integration with other applications, reduction of maintenance efforts, etc. to assigned systems.

Miscellaneous:

Required to be on call as needed
