Other Ministries - Part-time
POSITION OVERVIEW: The FHPC Kids Coordinator is responsible for partnering with the Family Ministry Director with leading programming for our birth- 5th grade children and families. This person will work under the guidance of the Family Ministry Director to create a safe and enjoyable environment for families on Sunday mornings, and other family oriented events at FHPC.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Executing Sunday morning kid programming (8:30AM- NOON)
Communicating with the Family Ministry Director
Co-planning, attending & Co-leading Kids Night Out and other annual family events throughout the year
Administrative duties
Building relationships and rapport with students & families
Supports the ministry, Christian education, and other programs of the church through music and worship arts activities as requested.
BREAKDOWN OF WEEKLY HOURS
Sunday morning | 8:30AM- NOON | 3.5 hours
Planning, prepping, communicating for Sunday | 1.5 hours
Meeting with Family Ministry Director | .5-1 hour
Planning and executing family events (when needed) | 1 hour
Kids Night Out (when needed) | one Friday a month (oct-may) from 4PM- 10:00PM | 4 hours
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in working with children
Pursuing or has Bachelor’s degree in education or other child related field, preferred but not required
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated Christian faith and living
Ability to relate and build rapport with children and their families
Reliable and organized
