Status: Full-time, Hourly Non-exempt
Reports To: Director of Finance

ACME Marine Group is a vertically integrated manufacturer of precision machined metal components. Our primary products supplied are propellers to the ski, wake, sportfish, and yachting markets. Our innovative manufacturing process has redefined the boating industry’s expectation of quality and performance. Today our propellers are found on the most demanding OEMs including Nautique, Malibu, Tige, Supra, Viking, and Mastercraft.
ROLE
The Accounting & Office Administrator will be responsible for supporting company operations by managing payment processes, bookkeeping tasks, and maintaining office systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Administrator
+ Collect and deposit checks received into bank accounts
+ Ensure accurate and timely application of customer payments to their respective accounts
+ Conduct follow-up and resolution of customer’s past due balances
+ Assist Sales Team, as needed, in resolving invoicing, credit memo, and payment related issues
+ Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and invoices in the accounting system
+ Prepare vendor payments weekly, including check and ACH
+ Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve purchasing or billing discrepancies
+ Proactively review and identify cost saving opportunities
+ Calculate and post necessary journal entries
+ Reconcile bank accounts
+ Assist with month end close and reporting processes
Office Administrator
+ Ensure office efficiency, organization, and cleanliness by coordinating with team members, office vendors, and purchasing necessary supplies
+ Manage front office and administrative duties including greeting guests, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and distributing mail
+ Collaborate with office staff on special projects
+ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other duties as requested
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or relevant field
+ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
+ Proficient computer skills, including typing, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiarity with accounting systems
