The Opportunity
OA Private Capital, an affiliate of RDV Corporation (RDV), manages an alternative asset portfolio that specializes in private equity. As an affiliate of RDV, OA Private Capital utilizes RDV’s Talent Services team to coordinate employee recruiting initiatives. OA Private Capital continues to experience rapid growth, creating a fast-paced and dynamic work environment for its employees.

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for the preparation of accounting data and financial statement reporting for numerous private equity funds. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background with experience in, or the ability to learn, the fundamentals of private equity and partnership accounting.

As an OA team member, the successful candidate will grow professionally and create value for the firm by: (i) supporting the Accounting team with performing daily accounting and administrative activities, (ii) assisting in tie-outs of investor facing materials including partner capital statements, financial statements, and other deliverables; (iii) collaborating with OA team members and third-party service providers in a professional and fast-paced work environment to ensure we provide exceptional service to all clients; and (iv) supporting the Accounting team with implementing process improvements and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform daily accounting and administrative functions and processes for numerous private equity funds including organization of wire payment and journal entry support documentation.
  • Reconcile certain accounts of internal or third-party fund administrator prepared accounting records and promptly provide list of discrepancies to Manager.
  • Initiate the posting of capital calls, distributions, and financial reporting via secure portal.
  • Serve as payment initiator for certain OA Private Capital expenses within the invoice processing system. Ensure proper approval documentation is included prior to sending through the approval workflow.
  • Prepare initial tie-out documentation of financial statements, partner capital statements, and investor capital calls or distributions to aid in further internal reviews.
  • Assist the Accounting team with compiling and organizing information needed for the annual audit process and for answering investor inquiries.
  • Effectively apply current policies, procedures, and best practices while actively participating in fund administration workflow improvements and striving for process efficiencies.
  • Execute other projects as assigned.


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Business related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to initiate, prioritize, and follow through on completing a high volume of tasks.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor and has the desire and ability to operate in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software, specifically Excel.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive, highly confidential information.
