Job Description
General Labor - Part-time
Employee will be responsible for custodial and grounds related activities as directed by the Head Custodian.
Hours: Typically M-F 11:00AM- 4:00PM, but hours may vary seasonally (earlier in the spring/fall, later in the winter)
Winter:
- Clear snow from doorways, ramps, handicap areas and main walks
- Apply salt as necessary to doorways and main walks
- Collect trash from property and trash cans
- Assist full-time grounds person with other duties as needed
Spring:
- Edge sidewalks/drives monthly
- Edge main sidewalks/drives twice monthly
- Trim where necessary around property
- Mow areas that cannot be accessed with riding mowers
- Setup for spring sports
- Preparation/setup of baseball/softball fields
- Collect trash from property and trash cans
- Assist full-time grounds person with wind screens and other spring preparations
- Assist full-time grounds person with other duties as needed
Summer:
- Edge sidewalks/drives monthly
- Edge main sidewalks/drives twice monthly
- Trim where necessary around property
- Mow areas that cannot be accessed with riding mowers
- Collect trash from property and trash cans
- Keep pole barn clean & organized
- Assist full-time grounds person with other duties as needed
Fall:
- Blow/remove leaves from stadiums, tennis courts, courtyards, etc.
- Edge sidewalks/drives monthly
- Edge main sidewalks/drives twice monthly
- Trim where necessary around property
- Mow areas that cannot be accessed with riding mowers
- Setup for fall sports
- Collect trash from property and trash cans
- Assist full-time grounds person with wind screens and other fall preparations
- Assist full-time grounds person with other duties as needed
Year-Round (Sports)
- Clean stadium bathrooms and press box
- Clean toilets, mop floors, clean mirrors, clean sinks, etc.
- Check stadiums and fields for trash
Sports Setup
- Football:
- Pylons in end zones
- Yard markers
- First down chain and down box
- Soccer
- Corner flags
- Goals
- Baseball
- Drag field (if necessary)
- Batters boxes
- Pitchers mound
- Foul lines
- Softball
- Drag field (if necessary)
- Batters boxes
- Pitchers circle
- Foul lines
