Colossians 3.17

We end this work week where we began, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” (Colossians 3.17). This is the most basic summary of what it means to “live the life you were created to live.”

As the new you, you live consistent with who Jesus is and what he wants. Because he made you and he bought you, he (and he alone) is to be at the center of your life.

Often the weekend allows opportunities to think and reflect that we might not have during the week. This weekend, take some serious time to reflect on the most significant area in your life that needs to have Jesus at the center.

Don’t hurry through this! Allow the Holy Spirit to search your heart. When you decide, write it in your The New You journal (to print a PDF version, click here). Then, invite people into it by telling your small group or a close friend. Allow them to both speak into your life and help you with the changes God’s Spirit is prompting you to make.
