Each spring, church members are asked to affirm the Elder and Deacon nominees and the annual budget. We encourage members to respond online using the 2026-27 BALLOT link below. Please phone the church office (616-868-7005) if you’d like a mailed paper ballot (to be returned by mail).
All ballots are due no later than Friday, May 29, at 11:59 PM.

ELDER NOMINEES
Dean Parham
New Elder Nominee
Dean and his wife Linda have been married for 46 years. They have three adult sons and four grandchildren, ages 5 to 18. They have been attending the Kentwood Campus of Ada Bible Church for the past five years. They each serve in the preschool area of Kids Ministry, and Dean is part of the leadership team for 55+ at the campus. Linda is a Great Start Readiness Teacher at the Early Childhood Center in Zeeland. Dean was a pastor for many years and now serves with the Live Global mission team, where he leads and coordinates ministry training for church leaders in various locations around the globe. When home, he works with one of his sons in construction and home remodeling.
Scott Tarrh
New Elder Nominee
Scott Tarrh and his wife, Stacy, reside in Rockford and are blessed with two teenage children. They have attended Ada Bible Church for six years and are currently serving together on the entry door hospitality team and as Lifeline coaches. They are also part of a couple’s small group, and Scott leads a men’s group that meets on campus. Scott works in the wholesale distribution industry as the Director of Pricing for DSG, an employee-owned regional distributor of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC supplies.
Todd Headen
Renewing Elder Nominee
Todd and his wife Ruth have attended Ada Bible since 2009. During that time, they have served in multiple areas, including hospitality, small groups, and mentoring and leadership. They attend the East Paris campus, where Ruth serves as Women’s Ministry Director and Todd serves as an elder, leads a men’s group, and is currently serving on the Governing Elder Board. Todd is currently employed in operational finance with Gordon Food Service.
Brent Lanser
Renewing Elder Nominee
Brent Lanser- Brent and his wife, Dianna, have five children and five grandchildren. They have attended Ada Bible since 2005. Brent currently serves as an elder and attends the Cascade Campus.
DEACON NOMINEES
Shaun Biel
Renewing Deacon Nominee
Shaun and his wife, Jennifer, have five children and six grandchildren. They have attended Ada for twelve years at our Cascade and Knapp Street Campuses. Shaun currently serves as a benevolent deacon, in Kids Ministry, and on the Security Response Team. Shaun works in commercial property management at Advantage Commercial Real Estate. His wife, Jennifer, is on staff as the Event Services Director.
Ken VanDerWende
Renewing Deacon Nominee
Ken and his wife of almost fifty years, Marijane, have two biological children and four grandchildren. However, they have been blessed to have had many (15+) young people live with them over the years and now also have grandchildren with them as well. They have attended Ada Bible since moving here in 2010, with a two-year interlude when they lived in Amsterdam. Ken has retired a number of times (Dow Chemical, Celanese, BISSELL) and now consults for profit and not-for-profit organizations. His family is avid boaters, snow skiers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Ken was baptized as a young adult and has been involved in church and para-church ministries ever since. He has been a small group leader and mentor for most of his time at our Knapp Street campus.
Jason VanHoute
Renewing Deacon Nominee
Jason and his wife, Lindsey, have two children, Jacob and Lillian. They have attended Ada Bible since 2004. Jason is the Facilities Director for Ada Bible Church and serves as a deacon at the Knapp Street Campus.
Kevin Vreugdenhil
Renewing Deacon Nominee
Kevin and his wife, Becky, have three children and attend the West Satellite. They have been active members of Ada Bible since 2003. Kevin is the Director of Construction Development for First Companies, and Becky works in the Prince Conference Center at Calvin University. Kevin and Becky have both served in Lifeline, hospitality, and in small groups over the years. In addition to serving the church as a deacon for the past fifteen years, Kevin enjoys supporting the West Satellite each week by setting up Kids Ministry and volunteering on the Security Team.
STAFF ELDER NOMINEES
Garth Dietlin
New Staff Elder Nominee
Garth and his wife, Kim, have three children, Elliot, Titus, and Sage. They have attended Ada Bible since September 2025. Garth is the Men’s Ministry Director for our Cascade Campus.
Kelly Bonewell
Renewing Elder
Kelly and his wife, Julie, have been part of the Ada Bible Church family since 2008. Their family includes their sons and daughters-in-law—Micah and Brianna, and Josiah and Allison—along with their grandson, Elijah. Kelly serves as the Pastor of Care Support, dedicating his time to both that role and his work as an elder and small group leader.
Ethan Cole
Renewing Elder
Ethan and his wife, Katie, have three children. Ethan has been in pastoral ministry since 2012 and has been a pastor at Ada Bible since 2022. Ethan is the Men’s Ministry pastor for our Bella Vista campus and also serves as one of the writers on our Beyond the Weekend writing team.
Andy Donaldson
Renewing Elder
Andy and his wife Esther have one two-year-old daughter. Both are long-time Ada Bible attenders and worship team volunteers. Andy is the Men’s Ministry pastor at our Knapp Street campus.
Luke Koskinen
Renewing Elder
Luke and his wife, Andrea, have three children: Laine (2), Willa (5), and Oakley (7). They have attended Ada Bible since 2013. Luke is the Director of Student Ministries and the Pastor of the West Satellite.
Stephen Lewis
Renewing Elder
Stephen and his wife, Jaclyn, have been married for twenty years. They have two children, Sofia and Hudson, and call Bella Vista Campus home. Stephen has been on staff at Ada Bible for over ten years and currently serves as the Executive Director of Missions and Ministries.
Jake Oswald
Renewing Elder
Jake Oswald- Jake and his wife, Kristyn, have two children, Liam and Lily. They have attended Ada Bible since 2017. Jake is the Campus Director for our Kentwood Campus.
Ben Puckett
Renewing Elder
Ben and his wife, Lauren, have three children, Emery, Rose, and Anna. They have attended Ada Bible since 2019. Ben is the Campus Director for our Cascade campus.
Doug Redford
Renewing Elder
Doug and his wife, Beth, have two children, Andrea and Mark, and six grandchildren. They have attended Ada Bible since the mid 1980s. Doug is the Care Pastor for our Cascade Campus and also serves on the Men’s Ministry team at Cascade by supervising the Wednesday morning men’s groups.
Mike Wilkerson

Mike and his wife, Christy, have three children and two grandchildren. They have attended Ada Bible since 2018. Mike is the Director of Marriage and Family Ministries, and also serves as an interim campus pastor for the Cascade Campus, where he attends.
Vic Willis
Renewing Elder
Vic and his wife, Nicci, have two adult children and four grandchildren. They have attended Ada Bible since 2022. Vic is the Men’s Ministry Director for our Kentwood Campus and also serves in several pastoral roles in support of the church.
