Job Description

Building/Construction - Full-time

The maintenance technician will perform all areas of maintenance for Edgerow Property Management not requiring a license.  Maintenance Technician responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Repairing/replacing faucets and plumbing fixtures and drains/traps

  • Light electrical (i.e. repairing/replacing outlets, switches, etc.)

  • Drywall repair

  • Painting (interior and exterior)

  • Lawncare/landscaping/pruning

  • Light HVAC (i.e. troubleshoot issues, light pilots, replace thermostats, etc.)

  • Simple appliance repair

  • Cleaning vacant apartments

  • Junk removal

  • Taking after-hours emergency maintenance calls 50% of the time (pay will be paid at overtime rate for after hours calls)

  • Assigning work orders to appropriate vendors, contacting vendor and/or tenants to schedule the work

  • Assure that work is completed properly and efficiently

  • Track billable hours and report to management regularly to ensure proper billing

 

Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing and maintaining his/her own tools.

 

Supplies for repairs will be purchased through Edgerow Property Management accounts at various hardware and home improvement stores. In some cases, Maintenance Technician may be required to purchase supplies and will be reimbursed with proper receipts.

 

Maintenance Technician will be required to use his/her own vehicle for transportation to and from job sites, and Edgerow Property Management will pay mileage reimbursement to offset fuel cost.
