Custodian

Saint Mark Lutheran Church in Kentwood, has an opening for a part-time early morning custodian. 

Hours: Part time, M-F, 6-10 a.m. (preferred) or 5-9 a.m. with the potential for extra hours on occasion.

Expectations:

• Dependable with reliable transportation
• Detail oriented and trustworthy
• Fast learner, able to work independently
• Must be able to work on feet throughout work shift
• Must be able to pass background checks

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning and upkeep of various areas and surfaces including sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, washing windows, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, and refilling supplies.
• Responding promptly to any urgent situations that require quick action.
• Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment
• Collecting and removing trash
• Performing outdoor tasks such as grounds clean up and snow removal
• Performing setup/teardown of furniture associated with events
• Other duties as assigned

This position is physically demanding and fast paced. Extra hours may be available.
