General Announcements

Job Board — If you are looking for work or are an employer with a job opportunity, visit our job board at adabible.org. Many community opportunities are available including Ada Bible Church staff positions.

Display Boxes — These are located in each venue and is our way of communicating with you during a service. If your child needs you, their number will display in the box.

North Campus

We’re only one week away from launching the North Campus! If you live on the north end of town, join us for our first service Sept. 7 at 9:15 a.m. or 11 a.m. at the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Men’s Ministry

First Thursday — The first Thursday of every month Men’s Ministry hosts a movie night for men. Join us September 4 from 7-9 p.m. in room 201. The movie focuses on what it means to engage our broken world with hope and healing. After the film we will have a short discussion. Past movies we watched include Gladiator, Batman Begins, and The Mission. We’ll have pop and popcorn! Contact mensministry@adabible.org.

Small Groups

ABCLinks — This weekly study designed to connect with the sermon is available at adabible.org or at each venue entrance.

Women in the Word Registration — For women who want spiritual growth and fellowship this Bible study format is the answer. It’s a structured program of small groups that meets at the church from September - April on Monday evenings or Wednesday mornings. Our groups encourage life application, prayer, and care through a deeper understanding of God’s Word. Children’s Helpers/Teachers Needed — Women in the Word A.M. offers a children’s program for a suggested donation to those who need it. We need people who can provide loving care and instruction to children. Both paid and volunteer positions are available. Contact Chris Biondo at 676-1227 or biondo333@comcast.net.

Cycling Group — Want to get out and ride with fellow Ada Bible attendees? Join us on Sunday, August 31 after the 11 a.m. service and enjoy a bicycle ride through the country. Contact Raymond Passchier at rpasschier@yahoo.com for more details.

Family Ministries

Labor Day Weekend — Please note only the nursery will be open Saturday evening and on Sunday only nursery - 3 year olds will be open.

Fall Registration — The fall kickoff in Discovery Village is just around the corner! If you have not registered your child for class, now is the time. Register online at adabible.org or at the tables in the Atrium after any service.

Child Dedication — This is a special service where parents commit to raising their children in the way of Jesus. Sign ups for any of the five services are now open at adabible.org. If you want to participate in our October 5 service, register no later than September 10. Attendance at an information meeting is required. Contact familyministries@adabible.org.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) — MOPS provides moms of preschool aged children an opportunity to get together for spiritual support and encouragement. MOPS meets at the church every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday beginning September 16. Sign up at the Connecting Point this weekend. Paid positions are also available for childcare. DV Tours — Have you ever looked around and wondered what we do? Take a few minutes and walk with us! We host tours each Sunday in September and Saturdays by appointment. The tour is open to anyone who is interested in seeing what Discovery Village is all about! Tours begin at the big tree in DV Uptown at 9:15 a.m. & 11 a.m. For more information, contact Christie Shepard at cshepard@adabible.org.

Nursery Needs — We are looking for gently used preschool/toddler clothing to use as spares in our nursery rooms. Please drop items off at the gazebo. Contact familyministries@adabible.org.

Weather Alerts

Whenever there is a tornado, winter storm, blizzard or other significant weather warning we will most likely cancel services and events at the church. For up to date closing information check adabible.org, WOOD-TV8 and WZZM-13.

FAQ

Parking - For those of you who need to travel east (left) on Cascade, please use our alternate exit at Quiggle Road . Turn RIGHT onto Quiggle Road and then RIGHT onto 36th Street . At the stop sign at Snow Avenue , turn RIGHT. This will bring you back to Cascade Road where you will be able to continue east undeterred.
