Small Groups
Life is about relationships. We believe God created us to have a relationship not only with Him, but also with others. Attending church on Sunday is an important part of a person's spiritual life. Gathering with other followers of Jesus in a small group is equally as important to spiritual growth.
Small groups were modeled throughout the Bible. Jesus had his 12 disciples (and 3 men in particular among the 12). The early church used home groups as a way of helping people grow spiritually and show genuine love for each other.
A small group at Ada Bible Church is a gathering of 4 to 12 people who meet to share God's Truth and open their lives. Most groups meet every other week (though some groups meet every week). They meet in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, and places of work all over the Grand Rapids area. Each group is served by a leader who facilitates the discussion and the care of the group.
We have several different types of groups at Ada Bible Church - community groups, men's groups, women's groups, college and career groups, and serving groups.
