Discovery Village Curriculum

Preschool: First Look
The preschool curriculum uses several key strategies:

  • Teach More for Less - Repeat one key truth (bottom line) all month long.
  • Engage the Five Senses - Helps master the concept through creative activities.
  • Teach With the End in Mind - Helps a child by age five to believe:
    1. God Made Me
    2. God Loves Me
    3. Jesus Want to be My Friend Forever
  • Experience Worship - Encourages children to talk to God any time, any place.
  • Connect at Home - Provides parents with ideas for conversation with their child at home.

Elementary: 252 Basics
252 Basics follows an intentional three year cycle that highlights character studies and passages of Scripture that personalize 36 virtues in your child's life. The idea is that God demonstrates these virtues toward us, and He wants us to live out these virtues to those around us.

252 Basics is founded on Luke 2.52: And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

These are three core truths your children will learn throughout their time in Discovery Village

  1. I can trust God no matter what. (Favor with God)
  2. I need to make the wise choice. (Wisdom)
  3. I need to treat others the way I want to be treated. (Favor with Man).
