http://www.adabible.org/2011/12/20/trip-summary/

On November 13, a team of seven comprised of ABC’s own traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to distribute World Vision’s talking bibles among the unreached in Northern Kenya. The team traveled by plane, car, and foot to distribute these “treasures” to the Pokot people of Orus in the Rift Valley, as well as the Borana people of Kalecha in the Chabri desert.

The team found themselves in a different bed each night, staying with local missionaries or even in a hut of the Pokot for a night. Along with experiencing the beauty and differences of their rural indigenous culture, the team got to see these villages encounter the Word of God for the first time. They even had the opportunity to bring home a translation of the Bible in the Gabbra language. Once the new translation is placed in the device, this people group will experience the Bible for the first time in history!

While it is unknown if more teams will return to these locations, one purpose of the trip was to explore the possibility of future partnerships with indigenous ministries in Northern Kenya.
