The mission of Ada Bible Church is to lead people into a relationship with God and His church that transforms them to Christ-likeness.
The sole basis for our belief is the Bible, which is uniquely God inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters on which it bears. As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-each possessing all the attributes of deity.
God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God's saving grace to end our alienation from God. Salvation comes only through God's grace-not human effort-and must be received personally by repentance and faith.
Jesus Christ, Second Person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between us and God. He will return to earth to consummate history.
The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church. The church's role is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.
God's Word - We believe that the truth presented in the Bible and applied by the Holy Spirit is the only source of spiritual transformation.
Cultural Relevance - We believe that innovation and creativity are two key attributes that allow us to best communicate the timeless, unchangeable truths of the Bible.
Acceptance - We believe that an atmosphere of grace and acceptance in the spirit of love frees people to grow and serve. Acceptance does not mean that we condone sinful behaviors, but rather accept people where they are at when they enter our ministry with the hope of leading them toward Godliness.
Authentic Relationships - We believe that loving, open, honest, and vulnerable relationships should permeate every aspect of our ministry. We believe that healthy small groups are the best environment for developing these relationships and promoting individual spiritual growth.
Gift-Based Ministry - We believe that God has uniquely created and gifted each believer for serving the Body of Christ. Fulfillment of a person's role within the Kingdom of God is accomplished with excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness when people utilize their spiritual gifts in areas in which they are passionate.
